How do I care for my product? Cleaning tips by materialUpdated 3 hours ago
1. Quilted cotton
- For a small stain: a damp washcloth or cloth with a mild soap (such as Marseille soap or castile soap) does the trick;
- For a full wash: delicate wash at 30 °C (86 °F) maximum, ideally by hand. The washing machine (delicate cycle) is fine once in a while, but repeated cycles wear out the quilting;
- Let it dry flat, in the open air, away from any heat source. Never put it in the dryer.
2. Nylon / polyester (smooth canvas)
- Use a soft sponge or microfiber cloth;
- Clean with a mix of lukewarm water + mild soap (such as Marseille soap or castile soap);
- Rinse lightly with a damp cloth;
- Don't use harsh products (alcohol, solvents);
- Let it dry in the open air, away from any heat source.
3. Iridescent / glitter materials
- Use a microfiber cloth lightly dampened with soapy water;
- Dab gently and avoid vigorous rubbing so the iridescent effects don't come off;
- No brushes, no abrasive products;
- Let it dry in the open air, away from any heat source.
4. Velvet
- Brush gently in the direction of the pile with a soft brush or a special velvet fabric brush;
- For a stain: dab with a clean cloth soaked in cold soapy water. Never rub hard (it can mark the velvet);
- For a full wash: by hand only, at 30 °C (86 °F) maximum;
- To restore volume: give it a light burst of steam, without touching the fabric;
- Let it dry flat, in the open air, away from any heat source.
5. Faux leather
- Wipe with a soft, lightly dampened cloth;
- Use lukewarm water + mild soap;
- Dry with a clean towel;
- To revive the material: a product made for synthetic leather can be used occasionally;
- Avoid: solvents, alcohol wipes, products for genuine leather (too greasy).
6. Wipe-clean lining (inside vanity cases and toiletry bags)
- That's exactly what it's made for: a quick wipe with a damp cloth or sponge is all it takes, even after a makeup or shampoo leak;
- Let it dry open before closing it.
